Allow me to tell you about my day, it starts sometime around seven o'clock. That is the time I begin to awake as the light flickers through my window blinds. But I don’t jump up; those days have long passed, instead, I stay in bed a while longer. And then, with some difficulty, I raise, get dressed and soon head off to the bathroom. Then I usually go to the kitten and make myself a cup of hot coffee. I sit on the sofa and watch the news, and most mornings begin the same each day. I spend my time either starring at my television or my computer screen. I eat supper at around six each night, and I stay up till I start dozing off. And yet, boredom does not describe my life, for it is not boring; it's more routine. My mind is kept keen, writing my poems, and I have earned the right to take it slow. Hello Emile, yes you have the right to take it slow. Creating poetry for a book takes a lot of concentration to choose the right poems for a book. Enjoy your evening my friend. I hope you are doing well. Your Friend, Darlene

I love this Emile. Routine, not boredom. That's a much better way to describe it. I write poetry. I do needlework and crafts - anything to fill my day and feed my mind. I feel the same about having earned it. :)

Thanks, Linda, as we grow older we all fall into routines to keep boredom away, but we have the added advantage of being poets, my friend, Emile.

Not despondent loneliness but rather vibrant aloneness, tranquil and centred, expressing the creative poetic urge simmering within

A most revealing write, Emile. Routine, boring: half full, half empty. Isn't that life in general. Like the cliche, one man's trash is another man's treasure:) I hope life has been being kind to you my friend. I enjoyed my read:)

Thanks, Daniel, there are ways to keep the mind active, and for me, that is my poetry and my keen awareness of the life force flowing through all of nature, I appreciate your comments my friend, Emile.
