But I don’t jump up; those days have long passed, instead, I stay in bed a while longer. And then, with some difficulty, I raise, get dressed and soon head off to the bathroom. Then I usually go to the kitten and make myself a cup of hot coffee. I sit on the sofa and watch the news, and most mornings begin the same each day. I spend my time either starring at my television or my computer screen. I eat supper at around six each night, and I stay up till I start dozing off. And yet, boredom does not describe my life, for it is not boring; it's more routine. My mind is kept keen, writing my poems, and I have earned the right to take it slow.
