Bed

Bed how I love thee Let me count the ways …. You are there when I need sleep To rest my weary bones You keep me warm and cosy When the air outside is as cold as stone You comfort me when I feel unwell Help me to mend and heal You are there when I need to escape the world, When sadness or negativity I feel When nature is raging outside You are make me feel secure With my head under the covers You protect and reassure I share you with the one who holds my heart You watched my child grow You have seen tears and much laughter Private thoughts and discussions you know You are a great keeper of my secrets You have seen all of the real me Supportive, available and inviting Bed how I love thee ……

This poem made me smile. Everything you said is so true, for me too. My bed is my happy place. This poem was darling. I'm glad I found it.

As comforting as a bed, is this fine Rhyme poem to me, Deb. It flows so well and is so applicable. I agree with your images and traits of a persons bed. Thanks for sharing, Bill

Wow. How you managed to keep this one 'clean' is beyond me, Deb. You are as pure as the driven snow! ~ Admirer from Afar

What a lovely poem about your bed. Isn't it amazing how poets can transform even necessities of life into beautiful verse! I love your hide under the covers line. :)

Hi Deb, Cute poem :-) I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your bed. Sounds like you have a really good one too! My bed is sagging in spots, something like my body Lol. It's well past it's expiry date and I need a new one. A bed that is! :-D Hope you had a lovely weekend my friend:-)
