A trembling breeze, blowing Unmoved by the setting sun’s call Glorious rays, falling softly, flowing Uniting joyful summer and happy fall, Silencing the heat, a beautiful glowing Tempting memories of the frosty football

Wonderful, just wonderful !! Your last line is my favorite. I love the sunflowers that grow in late August. Do you see those or grow them where you live? This poem is so deserving of a win, but I must confess I am an August baby so I am biased. Te Hee It's just lovely. Clever, so clever and true.

Dear Gina, I adore the beautiful late-summer spirit of your August poem that glints ever so softly with hints of Fall. Your poetic pen captures August with expressive perfection. Warmest wishes and hugs my sweet friend.. ~Susan

I could use a little less heat in my area. You did justice to August in your Acrostic. Well written, Gina.
