At Such Times
When I am done with all of my daily duty
When empty is my cup
And dull seems to be my whole surroundings
I sit and do ponder
Remembering with lots of clarity
The times when small was my footstep
When little jokes had me laughing
Oh when life itself seemed to be a wonder
Though nothing has changed much today
Except that I have learnt to make my hay
While being grown and old
While trying to show the world, that I am, indeed bold
Yet, today, I do no longer laugh
I choose to abide to what I believe is my path
I let go of my little joys
Pretending they make me not coy
Someday, somewhere in the future
Life will have another landscape
Even a new shape
Then, shall I still wonder about its nature
The wise man once said it all,
We have to listen to our soul
Hear its call, listen to its saying
For what is gone, is never again coming!
