As If My Life Depends On It
Standing tall
Totally new to me
Claiming my ME time
But I’ve become more and more
Like a mother bear protecting her cubs
Guarding my precious bits of time
As if my life depends on it
And in a way it really does
When I feel trapped
Or lulled into a snare to waste my time
I start to shake inside and blow a fuse
More and more on my guard
I’ve learnt to become a better warrior
And stand up for my ME time
Proud and tall
