Anything Is Possible

It's possible, I've lived and died before.
My restless soul, a wand'ring vagabond
Arising swiftly, only to abscond
And cheat the soul collector at death's door

Each time, departing without memories
In search of a new life, awaiting birth
To have another human feel it's worth
A guide, inside, to lead one to their knees

It matters not to me, what you believe.
Beliefs are confidence in what's unknown.
There is no guarantee, except for death
Acknowledging a soul, a chanced reprieve
Into this world, from nothingness, we're thrown
Returning when we take our final breath

Dear Daniel: , What we know about computers now maybe we are just living in a simulation. I learned in science that energy can’t be destroyed so it will pass on to some other form. Interesting possibilities. Well written too. SuZ

This is a really well-thought-out and articulate response to one of life's most perplexing issues. It doesn't matter how you look at it; the data is equally weighted regardless of your perspective. An excellent Poem Daniel.

A very lovely poem, Daniel. It's a gentle thought that we might return again and again. It's one I choose to believe, but with questions. For example, how can we improve in the new life if we can't recall how we erred in the last one? Anyhow, your writing flows beautifully. I loved reading it.

Hello Daniel. This one entry alone defines poetry with all elements attached. It also has excellent expressions such as "the soul collector" "it matters not" and "from nothingness, we're thrown". Both your choices and placements are the executions of a skilled writer. It was an honor turning to your page. Blessings always with a toast to possibilities. (smile)

It matters not to me, what you believe. Wish more people realized that the only thing that matters are their own beliefs, and they shouldn't force them on another, well written piece dear Daniel :)

Great entry for the contest, Daniel. It's also gives the reader a lot to think about. Well stated, with a great hook of a title. This should do well in the contest. A new reader of your poetry and a new follower. A poet (friend to be) in Texas, Bill p.s. I'm just returning to active status this week here at poetry soup. yeah!
