Angry words drove summer away filling my heart with winter snow. I had joy, yet lost it today, angry words drove summer away. I sent my lover on his way, I pray to God, it were not so. Angry words drove summer away, filling my heart with winter snow. I pray to God, it were not so, for I regret each tear he shed. I dread the fact I made him go, I pray to God, it were not so. He wished to stay, yet I said no, my anger flared from things he'd said. I pray to God, it were not so, for I regret each tear he shed. I sit by my window and sigh, Anxiously praying he’ll drop by. My heart cries to see him once more, Sauntering along as before. Oh, if only dreams could come true, Resetting the moments anew. Regrettably hope’s running low, Yet, there's still a chance he might show. (The first two stanzas are an Intertwining Triolet and the last stanza is a first letter “Acrostic ” spelling the words “I AM SORRY”.)

How creative this is! I found it looking for examples of Triolet. This felt so raw, liked the use of summer/joy/winter snow/cold heart for expressing feelings. Acrostic at end was like icing on a cake. Good job! A 7 poem in my book.

Acrostic and triolet and you combined them so beautifully Emile - you are such a gifted writer I really your creativity:-) An old lady I looked after used to say to me 'three things never come back, the spoken word, the sped arrow and the neglected opportunity' wise words indeed!:-) hugs Jan xx

Great write, Emile. Your word choices were full of emotion. I love the acrostic, and I've yet to try a triolet.
