And There Was Beauty
and there was beauty
a breath taking song
lying subdued
before my wandering eye
unravelling unfurled
like a scroll of ancient time
speaking of eternal fire
in words soft sublime
i forge beyond the edge of reason
in spirit heart and mind
to gather pieces
a broken stone
a tablet lost in time
i read each word of prophesy
my mind begins to twine
beyond the need of worldly fortune
in feathered wings I climb
for no man shall come in disbelief
that he might not have eyes to see
would be his only crime
