In my heart, silence welcomes me Without a blemish to my spirit’s dreams Soft whispers from the pernicious anxieties Sometimes reach out to dampen the music That flows through my veins in rhythms Of joy, elation, excitement, everything That brings me through an enterprise of Emotional hope, inspiring my astral vision To reach beyond the visage of my view Into the heart of those that I long to see Deeply, completely… their vivid hues of Faith and love, all that will traverse this Earth and walk away from the sentry sins That long to break apart the compassion Beckoning from the inside of those who know God’s light shines bright, through the night A glow of hope inside where our spirit shines With beams of insight, inspiration and grace Peace felt like a thick embrace from His spirit Caressing the naked skin with love from God! 8 word challenge 11 poetry contest Sponsor: John Hamilton October 23, 2020

Once again you have taken what could be dark and ominous and turned it upside down on its head my dear friend. Instead of darkness, you found light and grace in silence "that welcomes me." Hope does that and more! Congratulations on your win! Blessings of light to you!

I enjoyed the complete poem. I had to read again. Deep and honest thoughts left something for the reader to think about. Hard to see sometimes. But we don't walk alone and we must go forward. Thank you for sharing the wonderful poetry.

Ruminating on one's emotion with a hint of spirituality makes this poem so graceful to read. ~~
