Abandon

Anguish of the mind can happen to a child Because of the departure of A mother or a father from the home. Now for me, it wasn’t for the lack of a father’s love. Dad had a horrible mental illness, so Mom was forced to leave, Only because with a family he could not cope. Never did he leave us, but my mother simply had to abandon hope. So many of us can relate. Mental illness transcends cultural boundaries; being a human condition. Your choice of subject shows again your great strength-of-spirit considering the "stigma" that attaches to it. Another excellent gift from our excellent friend. :)

Indeed .... hopes were created from too much pain. That's the reason I'm hopeful...

Such leaving is not abandoning love...it is protecting love -- the children from illness, and the sufferer from rash behavior he could regret for an eternity. That was the action of a very strong and loving wife. Blessings my friend. Well said! By such action, your intellect and heart were made even more precious with reasoned, time-endured understanding.

I love acrostics, Andrea. This one a lovely thing to read - and read again. Thank you. But having to abandon hope is a sorry thing.

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV Indeed sadly this happens to many these days especially, great poem style to tell your story,we are all birthed in the flesh but through Christ receive birth from spirit into adoption of Child of God,May God bless, comfort, guide and fill you with His peace, love, spirit and joy in abundance: ) : )
