A Tree Grows Tall

            A tree grows tall

              grows strong

                braves all

                the good

                 the bad

     sometimes I'm not a tree

Congratulations on your POTD. Way to go. We all have times or days or minutes when we are not a tree. Sara K

I think many forget how important the ground is. Sometimes, that's me. There are days when I'm ' a tree,' and then there are moments when I hold everything in place. Such a profound write. Congratulations Clive, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Hey Clive the line "sometimes I'm not a tree." That simple phrase packs such a powerful punch, and I think it's something everyone can relate to. We all have moments where we feel fragile or vulnerable, and it's important to remember that's okay. The way you use the tree as a metaphor for strength and resilience is beautiful, we have the potential to grow and overcome challenges. A huge congratulations on snagging POTD! Your poem deserves recognition. Amazing writing! -Blessings, Daniel

Yes trees are a great metaphor, a poet's friend, and you're right, it is ok. Your thoughts are spot on, thanks so much Daniel

I agree…we want to be like the tree yet we feel small in its shadow. Still we have a bravery inside us that brushes away our smallness to keep on going. Congratulations on POTD! Speaks to me. Did you ever here the Smother’s Brothers song, “I talk to the trees…” Hugs

Very true, sometimes how full of experience or resilience we may be, but the fragility of our hearts, surfaces above our strength.. It's okay not to be brave all the time.. Our souls need to be vulnerable as well, so as to release the emotional burden and embrace the cosmic light of healing. This write made me think and feel so much. Sending best wishes, always!
