A Raging Storm

lying close together on a blanket by the shore the sanguine sun goes slowly down and gently kisses the horizon’s lips as fuchsia fingers of the night caress the twilight of the sky the ocean breeze that gently blows is tickling wanton flesh like kisses from a passing butterfly while undulating waves are keeping perfect rhythm with the beating of our hearts I see the longing looks reflecting in her emerald eyes as searching hands caress the softness of the moment the tender sighs that echo in the stillness of the night are telling me our time is now the rhythm of our hearts now seems to quicken as waves begin to pound against the shore our bodies quickly come together and form a tender eclipse of our hearts then suddenly a deafening clap of thunder jolted me out of this sensual dream the brightness of the lightning fills the bedroom reminding me that love is but a reverie and the storm rages on June 29, 2020

Your writes are simply breathtaking John, dreams , if only we could remember them or if we wake up go back to dreaming them, unfortunately no such luck - enjoyed this write tremendously. Congratulations on your win my friend. Blessings, Jennifer.

Yea, it's so annoying when one can't get back into a dream, no matter how hard we try to pick up the pieces. Thankfully John, you've written it down ;) so we have the opportunity to continue - Oh!, dream on James :) love the nature element throughout, simply throws out beautiful images, congrats on your win, James :)

Thank you sharing your thoughts and comments, James, yes it's sad that we can't dream exactly what we want to dream. I guess it's kind of like life, you can't always have what you want. John

Creating a moment of passion with words, is breathtaking indeed. Especially in this way. Waves kissing the skin, caressing the sand- all at the same time. Oh my!! Dreams are meant to leave us in complete awe- even if we wake, before they are over. Keep dreaming my dear friend. No one can take your dreams away. ~ Brandy

when Love rains upon us....engulfed by desire, pure lust....the twinkle in her eye offers hints of trust....the time is now, all the way or bust....i lean toward her ear, she starts to blush....and i softly whisper, we have something to discuss....awesome write john....

I like the rhyming comment, Eric, it's kind of like a post script to my verse. Thanks for sharing. John

I feel a sense of loss that your dream didn't have the ending it deserved. I know love can sometimes be nothing more than a reverie, but still we dream.
