A New Light

God created the world in 6 days, and from the seventh on, after a brief pause He, nor us, have ever entirely rested – Why must it be, either or~Evolution or Creation? Why not both? -- I stand on the mount of existence, looking off, into known and even greater yet to be defined and explored sensing Spirit the real of me indestructible and the mirror, my freewill reflection (my timed presence) though dear -- a mere fluid puddle I splash in and skim over gone with the sun now a new light and my new day

I agree with you, Joe. The ongoing (by the way) creation is, in part, evolution; in part, revolution. ~ One of God's partners in Creation. ~ Gershon

The two are unalterably opposed to one another Joe. They simply cannot be reconciled. Genesis 1:1, for example, could never be harmonized with the foundation for all evolutionist theories, that is, that all matter came into existence of its own accord, spontaneously, and without the need for intelligent design. Then there are Jesus' words at Matthew 19:4, which debunk the notion that we are evolved apes. I know this is just a poem and may not even reflect your true perspective.

I believe in Jesus, and also believe in everything he said...and still says, for he lives daily in my heart.

No offense at all Joe. To embrace one is to deny the other. If I believe in Jesus then of necessity I must also believe as he did. Have a great eve

Hi Tom; thank you for speaking your mind, by being a brave heartfelt voice of opposing reason. This poem does in fact represent my true perspective. I believe both are true...and one is not in opposition to the other. I believe Matthew a %100, while believing fully in Evolution -- I do not believe that man evolved from apes, nor do all Evolutionists. Humans are a different branch of evolution. I respect that you are strong in your beliefs. Just my opinion. To me spirit is pure creation, consciousness being illusion, changeable, ephemeral. Illusion of Consciousness does not mean, not substantive in my world. Again, just the way I see it, and by no means am I trying to change the minds and hearts of others firm in their own faith nor am I setting myself (ideas) up as impediment, attempting to interfere with advocacy for a particular religion. Maybe I am just mad. I wish not to harm nor upset anyone's personal or group beliefs. I am no authority on anything. Blessings my friend.

Creation first, evolution later. Thoughtful.

"Those who have eyes, let them see." "Those who have ears...." -- Exactly! God created the real, the wizard behind the screen, spiritual archetypes He created in six days -- if He says so, fine with me -- could have been six seconds -- He is God! Evolution is not the master, it is the reflection of what is and all that can be -- Infinite! I am not alone in this opinion. Read Hannah Jacob Doumette, "Life After Death" -- If not truth, a fascinating read none the less.

"I stand on the mount of existence, looking off, into known and even greater yet to be defined and explored"- This is exactly our place and should be our stance ! We are just a mote in this vast universe. Like children we can only wonder at the maze of creation seeking real light! So insightful and introspective, dear Joe.
