A Little Song of Joy
After the blasts of winter
The Spring shall come once again,
To clad the trees with leaves
To adorn empty spaces in blooms delight
To drown the lands in birds’ songs
To bring joy and cheer to uncounted hearts
Every end heralds a new beginning
A New Year is born as the current year dies
Let it bring on its wake, all the cherished things
That will give our hearts great delight.
Like sunlight filtering through the leaves,
Let God’s blessings come down to us
In the year ahead and all through the days
