A Kiss Instead

Whoa! I will be sorry for that poem! Give back my pad and take my kiss instead. Was it my lover or enemy Who said that writing is for smart people bred Here I'll show you my latest costly buy And you may watch me show how well it flies Oh, I will love you and all of that. I shall be sweet, meek, mild, soft, even sly. You will not catch me writing any more: I shall be called a wife who learns and applies; And some day soon you shall call to me__come You shall look and seek at the empty bench Run to the forest path enter in running__fast But I shall be gone, raptured by__ the poem The poem that I was not allowed to write in the past

SAra, this seems to be about the way women were treated in the past and they could not even write poetry. I enjoyed reading it. I need to get to bed, BADLY. Luv, andrea

Hey my sister I'm back! I see you have been busy writing...This speaks to me because I tell my girlfriend the same thing sometimes. The line about"And some day soon you shall call for me" is my attitude toward a lot of ppl. Great write!

a HA! well that was one of the reason I parted ways with my ex. many things I loved he made me feel were foolish to love and wastes of "his" time...time I should be using to cook, and decorate & sew & garden and make our home more beautiful with all that to do..creatively..why on earth did i need to WRITE???? SING???? SEE THE WORLD??? wasn't I busy enough? are you?
