A fragile rose now in its place
it's the yearning for just a trace,
"Take me. I'm yours", returned but naught.
In your thoughts I'd be frail and fraught,
your soft touch did more than erase.
Sustenance deep in from someplace,
holds out for passion and rhythm grace,
a flirtatious glance to be caught.
A fragile rose.
Arid, fractured, shadowed embrace.
Thirsty, melt with the sun, and lace
the versed world around and joy brought
intimacy it once had sought.
It has newly sprung and gave chase.
A fragile rose.
