A Christmas Memory

Comes the darkness on a graveyard, my lost child, As winter’s tree bows from its iced arc, quivering On last year's farewell of our young joy, of revelry; Till arms drift … meeting your crystal star above. My heart-felt congratulations on your first place in Broken Wings contest. It's a tragedy to lose a child for any mother...I can see her grieving face leaning over that grave, but when she sees the crystal star shining above, sorrow turns to joyful comfort for an instant. Your poem is heart-wrenching, but also so inspiring! Best Wishes & Hugs, Andrew.

Be consoled that a cherub watches over you and your sister. Quilled with a wintry star at the tip of your pen!
