- the Little Boat -

Boat over the water
             crossed unused days
             with expectations
             You were in sunshine
             and rain
             with wet heavy paddles
             you bent the wind
             and rode the waves

                   Changes over time: the life course
                   an insensitive cold wind
                   singing
                   toward land
                   seek shelter from autumn's storm
                   When anchoring -
                   a little straw
                   is not enough

"you bent the wind and rode the waves"..... You have beautifully brought out the changes that come over life with time through the metaphoric image of a boat. Once it victoriously rode over waves, but in time, its powers have declined.Congratulations Smile on your win in Brian's contest.

This does show how changes over time can wear on us. All the more reason to try to make the most of what we can , while we can and it isn't always easy to do, but time is so valuable. I hope you have a nice day :)
