Now we are phone slaves

I'm choking and shriveled with this monster in my mind Were we really free, Alexander Graham Bell ? Technical development Always on duty How could I forget It's just the fact of life The inner voice whispers ... take a look at your mobile to check if something has happened ... the last 5 minutes Are we really free? How much free time is there in the future that gets blown away in the past ? 13/08/2019 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved 18.08.2019 - Poem Of The Week

I dislike these mobile phones. Seems no one wants to talk to one another and they walk around like zombies glued to their phones. I have one but it rides around in my purse in case of an emergency. Times have changed and it is sad. Nicely written my friend. love phyl

I waited a long time before I finally broke down and got a mobile phone. It's funny, before I got one I never needed it and now I can't live without it...or can I? Congrats on POTW Anne-Lise, your thoughts certainly give us something to think about. All my best to you. Hugs, John

We will never be free! Technology is expanding more every day. It's not our fault, being glued to our devices. More is being added, so we can stayed glued. It is sad! Things certainly have changed over time. Congratulations Anne, on Poem of the Week. ~ Brandy

My mobile is just text and calls and I rarely use it and top up about £10 a year lol ... its more than likely forget to take it with me especially if I am out with hubby. So many folk are glued to them and can't get away from needing their technology fix, I guess its a sign of the times:-( many congrats on POTW!:-) hugs Jan xx

You're so right, slaves to technology, kids today straight to their bedrooms in chat rooms, Xbox , online gaming. Bring back the good old days when people actually spoke to real people. Tom
