When I look at the flashing lighthouse
on an ocean between the shores of the soul
Mournful and exhausted, but no tears
It is through our memories
my day shall be measured
as a faded aged road sign with no way
“Memento Mori” (remember that you will die)
Death is not an illusion
but a journey toward an unknown port
A one way ticket
my grief will not hold you back
The priest said a few words in a monotone voice
the congregation responds: "Rest in peace"
A longing trembles in my heart
No one is lying on the pillow close to me
It's tough, but I can manage
When all seems dark and filled with gloom
I wear a mask and hide my mourning
although tomorrow, will be my worst fear
Miss you more than words can describe
No one can ignore or avoid death
- one day we will meet again
They await you with love and anticipation
on the other side
When the moon shines bright - I love you good night
