Fragrance Of Forgiveness

As the apologetic sun
melts in hibiscus vase
of pastel-peach
horizons and peels off
those pristine pigments
of egoistic elegance,
sailing upon
aquamarine foam
of vanilla waves ~
where dignity
unveils a clemency
within catharsis,
I dare to surrender
towards the
pink-teal blends of
calm dusks and
smoky seas,
bleeding in
hurtful hues.

But, what if,
those luscious
dandelions never
wished to embrace
life's lessons,
laced with
lush embroidery
of martyred trust
and carved a lethal
language of revenge,
instead?

How can a
carmine heart
twirl in velvety
remembrances,
emerging out of a
ebony whirlwind,
when closure's oasis
has never quenched
the scentless thirsts of
those satiric stars,
desiring to inhale
ebullient empathy?

If forgiveness was
a spring's daisy,
I would blend its
distilled fragrance
in the flourishing
essence of truths
and nurture every
mulberry seedling with
nectarine nourishment
of nascent purity.
Maybe, my soul
would accept my
sincerity, if
I confront these tears
and cleanse
the dialect of pain
that still flows in
tropical streams of
endless estuaries upon
black hyacinth beds.

As long as cacophony
surfs on the waves of angst,
honesty will never be able
to scintillate in the
silver strings of tides,
which yearn to weave
shimmering peace with
watercolor yarns.

So, when I ascend
from this earthling's ash,
and take a plunge to
fly beyond the
seventh heaven,
I don't seek to envision
my harlequin feathers
camouflaging
to crystals of copper,
and whispering in my
compelled fall
in hellish valleys,
where I would be
echoed as the
'Princess of Remorse'.

I wish to be a
primrose of compassion,
not for those
juxtaposed sunsets,
embalmed in
loveless lustre
that conjure every
glamour of the
last sunshine,
but for my
own serenading
tuscan rays
that want to steal
each precious
heartbeat of
healing, trailed
by whimsical wisdom
in its fading fervency.

"For those,
      who may unfurl,
an eclipsed dazzle of regret ~
  let ephemeral euphony sing
             in evening-ripples of lemonade lakes,
                          as, in embers
                                 we shall float,
                            towards tomorrow's
                                        tangerine serenade"

I am so full of admiration for you Hiya as I inhale the fragrance of your forgiveness. The beauty of your language and the maturity you show are far ahead of your age. While most of the girls of your age will be dilly dallying, you think deep about the salient virtues of life. You have an exceptional God given gift and you should be thankful to Him. I am so proud that I share a site with such exceptionally gifted poets like you. Have a more blessed and creative year ahead! This poem is another FAVE for me. "I wish to be a primrose of compassion, -------------------------- in its fading fervency"..... I can't resist quoting these lines which i love so much.... for its depth and beauty.

"A primrose of compassion" is delightful. The primrose is one of the first flowers of Spring. and many believe that it has a meaning of youth, renewal and optimism. So appropriate fir a compassionate soul. Well deserved win, Hiya x

"For those, who may unfurl, an eclipsed dazzle of regret ~ let ephemeral euphony sing in evening-ripples of lemonade lakes, as, in embers we shall float, towards tomorrow's tangerine serenade" -- Beautiful poem throughout. Letting go is the only way to be free from the hurt and the one or thing that hurt us. Not so easily done as perhaps sometimes said, but letting go is Spiritual Freedom.

Beautifully penned, Hiya. I liked the expression ‘heartbeat of healing’. Indeed forgiveness offers is release from needless suffering. Forgive others and forgive ourself also. Check out Ho’oponopono on Google. There’s much more to forgiveness of course if we look deeper. I liked the way you approached this inquiry. God bless.

"I wish to be a primrose of compassion..." What a lovely thought. I know you're not a Christian but forgiveness is a primary Bible doctrine. It is a foundation teaching for the hope I have. Anyway, you poetically and beautifully described the importance of this godly quality. No "Princess of Remorse," but a Princess of Empathy for you

I really liked your 'primrose of compassion' line, Hiya. I envisioned sad tears from one in pain, crying over the delicate petals. Quite sentimental.

Wow Hiya... This beautifully crafted poem is a contemplative exploration of forgiveness, redemption, and the complexities of emotional healing. The imagery, metaphors, and evocative language create a rich tapestry of emotions that invites readers to delve into the speaker's introspective journey...The opening lines set a poetic scene with the "apologetic sun" melting in a "hibiscus vase of pastel-peach horizons." The use of vivid colours and delicate imagery immediately draws the reader into a

world where the speaker confronts their own vulnerabilities.. You delve into a contemplation on forgiveness and the potential resistance to life's lessons. The metaphor of "luscious dandelions" not wishing to embrace lessons and instead carving a "lethal language of revenge" introduces a stark contrast to the speaker's willingness to surrender and seek healing.. The final wish to be a "primrose of compassion" for one's own serenading tuscan rays brings the focus back to personal healing and self-compassion.

Where do i begin praising this beautiful take on forgiveness, i can smell the fragrance of forgiveness through your well crafted lines flowing with stunning flowers and eloquent diction. For a minute, i got lost in those magical metaphors. I especially love the opening and also the ending the way you’ve written the quote there is so gorgeous and creative. “ As long as cacophony surfs on the waves of angst, honesty will never be able to scintillate, “ so much wisdom there for an 18 year old

Every word woven in this hits differently and strongly and is soulful but this truly stood out for me“ I wish to be a primrose of compassion, not for those juxtaposed sunsets, embalmed in loveless lustre that conjure every glamour of the last sunshine,” how you’ve played around with words and made it all flow is beyond impeccable! And i felt the sincerity of those lines. Brilliant alliterations and wordplay throughout depicting fragrance of forgiveness so poetically. Pleasure reading you always. Best wishes for the contest.
