I'm very pleased with their progress. I see two guys that know how to prepare and that love the game. When you talk about the mental preparation of a quarterback and functional intelligence, I see two guys that have what you want. I've seen great progress in five practices. Personally, I'm very excited to see where we're going to be come August with these two young men.

Gosh, I haven't seen that many fumbles by a Jets' quarterback since Joe Namath tried to kiss Suzy Kolber on an ESPN Sunday night game a couple years ago, ... The Chiefs played defense about as well as Suzy did ¢ Joe didn't get to first base, and neither did we. But we've got Chad on a strenuous hand-strengthening regimen: he's squeezing Charmin toilet paper 500 times a day.

'Common sense is the guy that tells you that you ought to have your brakes relined last week before you smashed a front end. Common sense is the Monday morning quarterback who could have won the ball game if he had been on the team. But he never is. He's high up in the stands with a flask on his hip. Common sense is the little man in the grey suit who never makes a mistake in addition. But it's always someone else's money he's adding up.

Common sense always speaks too late. Common sense is the guy who tells you ought to have had your brakes relined last week before you smashed a front end this week. Common sense is the Monday morning quarterback who could have won the ball game if he had been on the team. But he never is. He's high up in the stands with a flask on his hip. Common sense is the little man in a gray suit who never makes a mistake in addition. But it's always somebody else's money he's adding up.

He flipped the switch and took over our team, ... It´s fun to have a mature guy who´s not (just) surviving at quarterback. He´s getting better every play.
Cedric Benson, if we have the kind of year we're capable of having, could win the Heisman. Right now, we have potentially the best offensive line since we've been here. And I've never been around a quarterback who runs like Vince Young. So I think we're back on track.

Going into training camp, everybody competes for a job. We'll have a good competition in training camp for the quarterback job, as well as for the defensive end job, the linebacker job, the running back job and all of them.
That kid is a good quarterback, ... He scrambles well and has got a lot of poise, but we let him off the hook too many times.
The quarterback is new. They had an outstanding quarterback last year. They lost a lot of players.
He's a great quarterback. He's learning the system. As soon as everything starts clicking for him, he's going to be unbelievable. Unbelievable. I just can't wait.
He will be our second quarterback.
He's just a veteran quarterback that knows this game and makes really quick decisions because he's done it so many times. He's almost machine-like on the field.
Kerry is a marquee quarterback and has the ability to lead on and off the field. We are confident that Kerry will pick up where he left off last season and will be comfortable with us.
But that's nothing new. We're going to be a running team whether it's Ben or Tommy or Charlie at quarterback. And we'll still throw the football, too.
The word 'genius' isn't applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.
Sure, luck means a lot in football. Not having a good quarterback is bad luck.
They're doing pretty good. I'd like to get more pressure on the quarterback at times. But those guys are giving pretty good effort. I like the way they work. I think they are all guys that are very strong and can run and can understand what we want out of their schemes.
I think Michael Robinson is developing into a really good quarterback.
We're just going to have to contain him. He's a great quarterback, one of the best I've seen. We'll work something.
We havent been very productive throwing the football the last two weeks. Thats one area we definitely have to look at, ... When you do that youve got to look at production, youve got to look at the guy, the quarterback, look at the receivers. Were going to do all of that. Then were going to decide what gives us the best chance.
