What to Submit?
1 original, poem on the theme of alcohol, because why not?
Pick your favorite alcoholic beverage and write about the flavor, how it's made,
how it makes you feel, what it looks like. Or write about an experience with it.
It can be funny, sad, emotional, crazy, whatever you want.
Personify, vilify, glorify! There are so many ways to get creative here.
Write about gin and juniper berries, wine and grapes, vodka and potatoes.
(I know at least one person can make potatoes poetic, some people have that magic.)
I make my own wines from organic wild ingredients growing on my property
and there is so much beauty in that, impress this vintner.
Any form is acceptable.
Old and new poems are acceptable.
Do not put your name on your poem, I prefer to judge completely blind.
Use punctuation.
Grammar and spelling are important to me.
I am always looking for creative wordplay and a poem that makes me feel something.
Remember you are writing a poem, so be poetic!

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts.
English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
