NEW Comments Notification Feature (No longer sending emails for comments)

Internet service providers do not like PoetrySoup because we send too many emails. As a result, we will no longer be notifying you via email when you receive comments on poems.

Instead, we are working on a notification icon at the top of each PoetrySoup page that indicates if you have a new comment and how many new comments you have received since you've visited your Comments Inbox. We are working out some of the performance bugs, but it is operational now.

Hello, I will learn this. Question...I became a Premier member in Oct. and have not found how to make a statement before my poem. also how to post a picture and where do I find the pictures to place above the poem.? Can anybody show me, I'd appreciate it. Also how to put icon beside poem if won?J

Simple, non congestion simplicity. To me it's the carrot to log on to the site you've a lovely relationship with, and for me, not that I'm here that often, it'll now entice me to log on and integrate a little more now that I have the time to do so. Emails are back, however you will not receive email notifications for poems comment. All other email notifications are still active.

I think this is a super idea! Personally, I much prefer my emails to only reflect my private correspondence. Keep up the good work of streamlining this site. :) Susurrus

YeS. the icon works fine. hard to believe PS email notification load cannot be handled by the internet providers! I shall look for icons in future! Thanks for finding a quick solution to the problem.

Hi, Team Soup, well, I think the icon notification is fine, in fact like it. I usually answer comments from my Comments Box anyways, so no problem for me, it is just a matter of clicking on the icon when you log in, thanks for all you do _Constance
