Val Brooklyn Rogers Blk Panther Biography

My Biography is Coming Soon... When I was 13 years old I began my conquest Of poetry. I put my hobby on hiatus after Determining that my efforts were fruitless. After ten years I returned to writing. This Episode i was much improved. I wasn't Able to keep track of any of my early work Due to a number of relocations. Now I am an Active member of poetrysoup where I have Published about 400+ poems including: HAPPINESS OF LIFE ON THE PATH OF PASSION TWILIGHT LIFE SHOOTING STAR DREAMER WHEN DREAMERS DREAM OF TRIUMPHS That's a micro collection.

Own psalms. Never ending and endearing. Some are even professional and hot of the presses. Getting

Paid worthless pennies. Except if you're very very good. Excellent. Then you get to BE newly crowned one ofThe many pretty gold plated coins. How annoying. Only after death do you get what you've deserved for so

Long. Now, is it worth it? The steep climb up the mountain Of hopes and dreams and more cast aways

And destroyed dreams, Oh don't misunderstand I still want it and I'm good but not nearly GOOD enough to

begin the climb. There isn't enough space at the top for everyone,anyhow. There Are thousands of

Love poems of identical titles. Is it worth it? Maybe yes. For the enjoyment. Point blank. Nothing else.

Val, it has been said that "there is no money in poetry....but then there is no poetry in money". I write because I love to write, to create, to explore the hidden recesses of myself, to free myself to truly see and feel. My writing mantra is "DON'T FIGHT IT! WRITE IT!! The knowledge that others read and enjoy some of my poetry amazes me.

Many fantastic poets are never made famous. Many minor poets so noted and known are better than some of the so-called greats IMHO. Which is specially true of the "recently crown greats" of modern times--last 50/60 years . Write because you have that need, if fame ever comes - pray its after you are dead and do not have to truly live up to it!! That seems to be the norm..
