IN THE BEGINNING

This blog is one i wrote a little while after I joined
poetry soup. I won't pretend to know everything about
poetry. From reading some poems and thinking about
my own writing, the subjects can span from a first
day of school as a five year old kindergartener
(am I the only person that says gardener) or,
You might choose to spend your words writing on
your old calculator. You may choose any thing of your comprehension as long as you don't come across with a sort of CAT IN THE HAT material. I plan on mastering some poetry techniques such as haiku and prose. I'm convinced now I know a slight bit more about my own poetry techniques from studying professionals.
Tanka consist of five sentences of 5 7 5 7 7 meters. That's one i favor most And I still do not know many things. Of course I will discover my areas of fluency. In the months ahead. I think every good poet who seeks unique critique for their work should confront his own skills. I've become more fluent in free verse and prose, tanka is also easier for me and I'm mentioning proudly that I count meters now.
The Only step left now is more reading, reading and more of it. Blah. Alliteration is my best. Dynamic dealings are disastrously different. My original blog was pointedly different from this one because of some information I've learned. I ended with HAPPY HOLIDAYS, which means the calendar months were around
December or November. Well its been enjoyable seeing my thoughts after many months, a little bit of a diary. I still welcome CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUES. Val Brooklyn Rogers, VBR
