John, I have not seen them to the degree you describe, but, perhaps that is because I have an AD Blocker. However, I agree with you that "on our poems" is no place for ADS to take over. This same issue happened in the past also, some may recall. Hope Administration will do something about it, blessings

Tell me about it, John. I’m not only getting ads… but full screen ads, I can’t read around them and I can’t scroll past them. I do wonder whether Soup has been handed a sack of greenbacks to allow this or if it’s all to do with cookies on my own device. Either way, as you say, it’s ‘quite’ annoying. Terry

Hmmm...this is very interesting, John, although it has not happened to me. And, I might add, I'd be very aggravated if it did. I do have an ad-blocker installed on my computer, so that may account for my good fortune in this regard.

Hi John. Yes, I've experienced ads between comments but only intermittently. What I have found equally frustrating is that sometimes I'm not able to complete my comments for another Souper's poem due to a full page advert suddenly appearing in the same space - This only happens strangely enough when I use my mobile phone. Due to these occurrences - and (I guess) because I'm a premium member - I found out that you can block adverts from the membership page which I have somewhat reluctantly done; reluctantly so because I'm aware sites like this need the revenue. To date this has proved effective. Cheers - Gary
