I know right! How conveniently he neglects to admit how he trolled and bullied new poets to this site under different names. Then he acts like he is a Christian and such a good man. I wonder what is kids would have to say about him.

shame he hasnt attempted to bring back those poets he drove away under his various account names over the years.

What's truly funny is that cyber emotions are like road rage - so easy to be superlative and demonstrative when we can just "drive away" and not face the emotional consequences - yet, they live...hmm---it's truly more than screaming at the TV---we have been more disconnected actually, but no...we must find a new way to communicate in abstentia--like Stephen Crane's "The Open Boat" - "so close, but yet so far"?

Yes as i manage my own communities i pay attention to plagiarism. AI generated poems lack emotions and can be detected theres a pattern, we use AI detectors to detect however they are not always accurate too. And some poems can be tricky too. I was a bit pleased seeing on soup rules “ no AI poems allowed” and yes you were joking but thought maybe you mentioned as some do use it here. John is a fun person and its nice to meet you too. Isn’t AI not allowed on soup? Isnt there an AI detecting system here? AI has become a huge issue in poetry community now even on instagram, but you can detect AI work, from the pattern its written and we have a community page exposing such plagiarism.

I honestly didn't know about the algorithm of this site. Actually, I don't know even till now. I wanted to explore the world of poetry and along way improve mine as well, that's why I joined the platform. I try to always support everyone, as & when time permits and try to comment wholeheartedly too like you said whenever I visit anyone's page. Because, as far as I know, I've come across many wonderful poets and I'm learning from everyone a lot. Being a young poet of 18, I still have so much to explore and to evolve. I too, feel in a similar way, of being attacked for my writing style and comments, but I still hope that everyone understands, we all are here, together, for poetry and because of poetry.

I am joining this conversation very late, a friend referred it to me asking my opinion, and frankly I don't have one, ecxept for the mention of POTD's. Recent one of my poems was so well accepted by dozens of comments it was awarded a POTD. (first time ever) I hope it never happens again. 3 pages of congrats. Took me forever to answer them all, then the trickle down effect, for days after ppl were still congratulating me. I rue the day I was given POTD and sincerely hope it never happens again. The comments on the poem BEFORE the potd are quite enough.

I think it's how many fave it also. And how many views. To be honest the comment suggestion is the first time I've heard that. I know that i got POTD on the same day last month..so has to be something in the algorithm which means the best poems are not featured and some peots never get read
