I've been asked to further clarify what I'm expecting to read in your contest entries. I apologize if I didn't make it clear enough.

The focal point of the contest are the 2 photographs I posted. I want your Haibuns to tell me about the house and/or the alley. I suggested you research the city ONLY to give you a better idea of what life was like in the past... HOWEVER, you need not limit your thoughts to a historical write. In my contest stipulations, I gave possible scenarios, ie. who lived there, what happened there, etc. For those of you who have already entered, you may want to alter your Haibun to fit this criteria. Thanks, everyone.
