I'll post my contest winners now - and yes - what I look for is much like a daydream - most of us can't explain them, they just hover there like the shadow of a cloud that quickly disappears and hmmm, never hovered at all...when you're daydreaming or dreaming or simply thinking, do you add modifiers to your thoughts ~ no, you just simply think, and that is what I look for when I read (not saying you should) - it's just my wish, because all of us gst something different from everything we experience. I want to experience my own complexities from your basic thoughts - I'm bored by ceriuian skies and, actually, you never felt that when experiencing it - you just thought it would be clever to write, even though you never thought it---help me think of those simple complexities without those speedbumps of adjectives and adverbs, except if they are desciptive and please not embellishments. The winner here exemplifies my point, and the line, "In a moment of my connected disconnect" brings to mind a lyric form the song, "It Never Entered My Mind" - "Uneasy in my easy chair" - it's those twists of thought that leaves one dwelling in their own...and, the Graffiti poem has line after line of thoughtful brilliance (just strayed a little - not much - too far from the parlor) Love your poems guys!!
