LIFE IS SHORT

It's not
as if you have
a choice in the matter,
but if you leave a poem
it's enough.

I was Googling around the web and found a new-to-me poetry form. I write short verse, so this form sounds quite fun.

The Chronos~w is a new form (posted on Writing.Com in 2006). The ~w stands for the fact that this form is written in words, instead of syllables.

Pi2 = Chronos.
Chronos = 9,8696
Chronos is a single stanza poem.
Invented by Bianca and Alexa

In lines:
line 1: 9 words
line 2: 8 words
line 3: 6 words
line 4: 9 words
line 5: 6 words

Bianca's example:

Math and Chemistry

Is there a simple formula to count the stars?
or the side effects of a solar flame?
our wisdom is so little, complex,
still hard to understand, like Chronos'secrets, unrevealed still
there's still so much to learn.

I have seen poems before which go by word count instead of syllable count. That's great that you found something to fit your style of writing in short verse. I especially like short poems as well.
