Challenging Week on PoetrySoup!

Well, this has certainly been a challenging week. PoetrySoup’s servers had many technical problems and some poems from the past 3 days were lost. Well, we were able to recover the poems and comments from the past 3 days. Yea!!!

However, any poems or comments posted within the past 3-5 hours will need to be reposted. Sorry about the problem.

If you notice any other issues, please let us know via email.

[UPDATE] Poems views cannot be retrieved, unfortunately. The poem of the day will resume tomorrow. We are still working on the contests.

Thanks for all your work, I have everything back, I think I may have lost a few comments, but all seems to be working just great.

These things happen, you have worked wonders restoring everything and keeping us informed whilst the problem was being sorted. I hope people learn that problems can arise and the onus is on them to back up their work. Tom

When it concerned Brian Strand's contest results disappearing, that particular issue had nothing to do with backing up work.

Hello Poetry Soup, You have not reinstated the winners' list of Brian's Strand's "Your Choice (10) Personification". Please reinstate it. It is wrong that that this particular contest is currently running AGAIN even although it has already been judged and that Brian Strand's new "Your Choice (11) Imagism" contest has gone away despite nearly a dozen entries to it. (These contest issues should have comments about them on your blog, not be hidden away in a private email as if they are merely a comment about an individual's missing poem.)

I didn't say you were hiding away, PS. My comment concerned the fact that were we to confine broad issues to an email to you, they wouldn't be seen by others. Your blog is the place to tell you about an issue impacting Brian Strand's contest, thereby affecting many people.
