Have you noticed that you have stopped receiving PoetrySoup notification emails when someone comments on your poetry? If so, check your emailing settings (below link). Sometimes when we received bounced or rejected emails, emailing is automatically turned off for that email address.

See the Manage Profile (Settings) page to check or turn on your email notifications.

It is always good to periodically check these settings.

There are two links to my poetry on my settings - one goes to someone named Carol Brown (the top one). I can't delete it for some reason. I've sent you another message. Thanks for any help you can give. I've received no notifications in several days, but have found comments on my poems.

Thank you for letting us know. I have a habit of checking my settings. <3 However, I have concerns about the "DELETE" account button. Why is it so easy to manage? I'm just worried, because a poetry soup poet friend of mine, accidentally deleted her account. Can a poet retrieve the account, just in case this happens? ...but poets are emotional. They often make rash, emotional decisions and then regret them later.

That's awesome to know. I guess my friend probably clicked too much, or this is another case of some one not reading through properly after clicking the delete button. Really Team Poetry Soup, I appreciate the reply. It really does take away from my fear, that the button is easy to access. In which brings up another question, (in which I'll be emailing some time later this week.) Once again thank you for listening. Wuv Linda

Well, you cannot accidentally delete an account. When you click that delete account link you receive a confirmation window. If you click okay you want to delete the account, you are taken to ANOTHER page that confirms what you are doing. It thoroughly explains what you are about to do. You then have to click yet another delete button and ANOTHER confirmation button. There's no way to accidentally delete an account. You have to click four different buttons before your account is actually deleted. :-)
