Problem with Share counts on poems...

Dear Soupers,

You may have noticed a problem with our share counts on poems of the past ½ year or so (see image). We use an external company for these counts and they have not been able to provide consistent counts; often losing the numbers that have been accumulated. As a result, we are removing the counts. We hope to find a better solution in the future. It was nice seeing how many times a poem’s page or poet’s page was shared, but since the counts are no longer accurate we have decided to remove them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

People tell me, "did you see my message to you on the wall?" (maybe two people a year might say this to me, and I honestly do not even know right where to go to see my wall) A few times I stumbled onto it by looking in the right place. I doubt people are sharing my poems anyway. If anyone is, I thank them for it! I know this mattered to a few souls I talked with here at Soup. It's too bad for them.

Have been busy as of late dealing with life's other demands. Also I'm very much involved with my second book of poems. This one is a collaboration with an old friend, former professor of mine & mentor. However I was about to post one tomorrow. A very old one of mine. I still plan to.

I guess this will matter to some? To each his own. It's just as simple to copy and paste the addy into facebook and twitter and I have liked a poetrysoup poem written by another enough to do that. It was pretty simple to do...

Really, I was very busy and I have not any chance to share new poems or comment on other poems but I hope that I will have the chance to do this. I have benefited a lot from a page. What a wonderful experience to share your senses and experiences with other people. Any poet should join this amazing page to read the poems of experienced poets and learn from them how to write a good poem. Poetry is like food in our life. As we need food to eat, we need poetry to express ourselves and share our experiences with others. On this page, we can read many different types of poems for different poets all over the world. This wonderful page is like a wide room that can gather all poets in one place.
