Is Today the Day

Is today the day?
Do I stay or do I finally leave?
Everyday I wake up
And just breathing causes me so
much agony.

Is today going to be the day?
The day I finally say goodbye?
I know somepeople might miss me
But I don't know if I can stand
another sleepless night
I don't know if I have anymore tears
to cry.

To be 27 and to think about death
as much as I do,
I believe I'd welcome it like an
old Friend.
Do I take a handful of pills
Or throw myself off a bridge
and hope I don't wake up?
These are the thoughts that go
through my head
When I pretend to wear a smile and
be normal...

Pretend I'm not in pain.

Is today the day?
I'll put on my mask
and suffer another day.
I hear that dying is easy
Whoever said that wasn't wrong.
Tht living is the hard part.

Maybe that's why today is not
The Day.

Such a poignant piece. I guess I know the feeling, but I'm telling u my friend, giving up is never an option. The moon is amazing, the rainbow is magnificent and so are u. You just gotta unfold that yourself. Very nice poem by the way..
