Faraz Ajmal Poem
Five thousand years before the sky was introduced with the sea
It was at that time, that God wrote your name adjacent to me
I wandered through the world, seeking a mind that felt like home
a quiet soul who studies life the way the curious often roam
someone whose gentle thoughts align with questions I once knew
and in that search, my heart kept hoping it would somehow lead to you
Then suddenly you appeared, half-hidden in a tender light
your olive skin aglow, soft as dawn breaking through night
your glasses framed a gaze observant, calm, and wise
as though you carried galaxies behind the quiet of your eyes
My restless heart fell silent, finding rhythm in your tone
as if two thoughtful wanderers had finally found their own
in that moment time surrendered, letting destiny unfold
and our scattered stories met like truths waiting to be told
We stood upon fate’s station, unsure of where to go
carrying unanswered hopes we rarely chose to show
yet side by side we stepped toward a path both strange and true
guided by a gentle pull that stitched my soul to you
I never was a poet, nor had I mastered art or rhyme
until your presence filled my verses, line by line
your steady gaze, so tender, each drew me near at last
turning every fleeting moment into echoes that will last
For in heaven, God made everyone perfect lovers
But we were lucky to find each other in this world
For Five thousand years before the sky was introduced with the sea
It was at that time that God wrote your name adjacent to me

Faraz Ajmal Poem
I still remember that beautiful day like yesterday
not a bit have I forgotten
The weather on that day was misty
And you were jogging
You were looking really pretty
Upon seeing me staring at your beauty
your face turned crimson
Iike the seven beautiful colours of a prism
When I met you, I was afraid to talk to you
When I started talking, I was afraid to ask for a date
When I started dating you, I was afraid to confess my love
But that day also came
When I confessed my love towards you
We were walking along the shore
The night was high, with a harvest moon
my heart was pounding and hands started to shake
As I proposed you and showed you the ring
There I noticed that no sunset, no spring
Have such a beautiful grace
The grace I see in your face
Your smile has the power to replace
A severous tempest into light
Darkness into a day which is bright
The sun waits for your smile to set
And The stars wait for you in order to shine
since the time I met you
Joy follows me like a shadow that never leaves
I will be lost in your thoughts
And will bear pain for you
God has sent you as mine
Will tell the whole world this beautiful line
That My heart desires to adorn your dreams
And to sway in your heart
You are the one who's spell has been casted upon me
the best gift is health, contentment the greatest wealth
but my life is running through your breath

Faraz Ajmal Poem
God knows for how long you have been in my heart
Since the moment I'm here, you are with me
Oh my lover I swear on my God that after Him
The most dearest to me in this world is you
When I close my eyes I see you
When I open my eyes I long to see you
When you aren't with me, I feel you everywhere
Every time, every second all the time
I die in order to spend my time with you
Only God knows for how long I have been in love with you
Since the moment I have had dreams, I wanted to be yours
Oh my lover I swear on my God
That eternal is the love I have for you
And I choose you as mine for both of these worlds
My heart desires to play with your hair
My heart desires that I take you in my arms
My heart desires to kiss your eyes
My heart desires that I make you mine
And my heart desires to hide you in my heart
Only God knows for how long I have been waiting for you
Since the time I'm in this world, you were my love
Oh my lover I promise on my God
That I'll only love you and you
Every single day I dreamt about you
I didn't know how you'll look, yet I loved you
Olive skin, glasses, and dark hair are just metaphors
My love is not dependent upon physical beauty
Only God knows for how long I have been dreaming about you
Since the moment I'm here, you have been in my dreams
Oh my lover I swear on my God
That the only girl I have ever dreamed of is you
I bowed down thousand of times
Prayed a million times
In every prayer of mine there were you
In every prayer of mine, there was a desire to love you
The world will say that you are mine
The angels will acknowledge this fact
that you are mine
Only God knows how many times I have prayed for you
Since the moment I have started praying, my every prayer is for you
Oh my lover I swear on my God
That your wishes are my prayers now
And you meeting me is the fulfillment of all my wishes

Faraz Ajmal Poem
I have always felt a void in my heart which I try to fulfill by learning as much as I can about this world in an attempt to find my life's purpose. In 2015, it inspired me to write a novel, A Thousand Cursed Lives, a story about two souls reborn across a thousand years, and always finding each other again in different bodies with different names. The void they feel is a result of them looking for one another and can only end when they finally meet. Maybe, in real life, one of my life's purpose is to find my Bushra (in modern day, the name of the female character is "Bushra" and it means "good news " in Arabic)
So it’s settled
I will leave one page of my love story blank
a space untouched by memory
a white chapter written in pause
Not because I’ve known you
but because I believe I will
Not by face, not by name
but by the way the world will hush
when you finally arrive
olive skin warmed by sunlight,
dark hair falling like quiet thoughts,
glasses framing eyes that study the world
the way seekers study truth.
A soul drawn towards curiosity
and the soft wilderness of the human mind
someone fascinated by what it means
to be alive at all.
Come as you wish
on a quiet morning
in the stillness of a song
or in the middle of my sentence
Until then
I’ll write a poem for you each day
verses shaped by dreams
riddled with guesses
hoping they’ll fit your soul
when you wear them
Even after the ink dries
like dust after rain
And the page forgets
what it was waiting for
I will remember to wait
And when I sleep
a butterfly finds me
Its wings speak in colors
I’ve never named
It lands on my pillow
soft as breath
and I know
you’re real
Somewhere
breathing the same stars
You are far, but not a stranger
Unknown, but not unknowable
So I’ll wait, pen in hand
heart unfinished, a page always blank
for the day you write yourself in

Faraz Ajmal Poem
The first time she kissed me was the day I realized that I was in love
When her lips met mine, my heart exploded so did my mind
It was as if the heavens and the Earth have combined,
There were many people and many sounds but I could only hear one
The voice of her heart, with every beat taking my name and only mine
Her arms were giving me an embrace and there I noticed the beauty of her face
Her lips red as a sunset, her face white as a dove, that was the day I fell in love

Faraz Ajmal Poem
Remain with me just a moment more, close this door
Let this heart become steady, until it is ready, to let you go
Just spend five more minutes with me
so that every grief coming towards me stops
The heavens and the Earth close, all the stars drop, time stops
And I can see you a slight moment more
Let me admire your beautiful hair, your skin so pretty, so fair
How can I live without you, you are the only one I care
Where is your promise, that vow, that intention
The intention of staying with me in this world and in heaven
That was the most dreadful day I ever lived,
The God and angels knew my pain, that's why they let the whole day rain
Even the angels couldn't stop, they also cried
No one eyes in Earth, heavens or sky were dry

Faraz Ajmal Poem
For me the whole universe is a stage
The past, the present, the future, every people, every age
I ride on the wings of my imaginations and they take me to my next place
I can write on history, mysteries and on every thing my pen can engage
I am a poet, a poet
My pen and I are in perfect harmony
I don't write for fame, neither for money
My words are the explanation of my emotions
Endless like a sky and deep like an ocean
They tell my hatred, fears and devotions
I am a poet, a poet
In people eyes I can see the pain
I have the gift through which emotions can be explained
I sit alone in the silence of night, people think that I am insane
But by sitting alone, nature is what I see and peace is what I obtain
I am a poet, a poet
One moment I am kissing a girl, next I am in another century
One moment I am on Earth, next I am swimming in the lakes of mercury
One moment I am a child, next I am celebrating my wedding anniversary
One moment I am a thief, next I am helping to stop burglary
I am a poet, a poet
Last year I saw a white glistening olive tree
Neither of west nor of East
Which would glow even if washed my sea
It was full of fruit for animals and beast
There I had my dinner with angels and priests
Then I sat on the wings of my imaginations where I met all the deceased
I am a poet, a poet
Being a poet I have experienced a world with compassionate cries
A world where there was no act of kindness, empath dies
Where the wolves lives in sheeps clothing and devil lives in disguise
There was not even a single wise guy, a world full of lies
A dark place where the sun neither sets nor rise
I am a poet, a poet
I have also experienced a world where angels sing you lullabies
A place where nobody ever cries, and only love and love lies
Justice prevails all over it, even lion and deer lives in peace
Here the birds wake you up with their sweet melodies
I am a poet, a poet

Faraz Ajmal Poem
This is a fictional poem as part of my novel, " A thousand cursed lives". Uploading it as an example for the contest I am sponsoring.
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight
Just like everyday it was quite an ordinay night
The moon was shining and the stars were bright
There I met her for the last time in our lives
There were tears in her eyes and I exactly knew why
Our story was going to end incomplete
no matter how hard we tried
We both knew that such a love will never happen again
And there I promised that even till the last day of my life
I will only love her and if not her
then I shall never have another wife
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight
People say that to complete our unfinished love
We are born again and again,
maybe we can't have each other in this life
But if we found ourselves in different lives, will you be mine?
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight
Then we had our last kiss
A kiss of love that was true
A kiss that I didn't want to be through
A kiss so unsure
A kiss so gentle to endure
It was a kiss of couple who lost their love's fight
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight
Then her time for departure came
How could I let her go
There were so many dreams
And each one filled with her
Today people asked me if we loved
each other then why we didn't marry
The fault was not hers neither I was the one to blame
Our parents couldn't do this, for them it was a shame
For their children marry to a person with a different religious claim
The problem was of religion and fate
One was an atheist where as the other practiced Islam

Faraz Ajmal Poem
When I die, take care of your mum, don't stand by my grave to cry
I see everything, they say that I'm dead, but I don't sleep, it's a lie
You can find me in thousand winds that blow, in the flakes of snow
I am in the happiness which falls like rain, I am in the fields of ripening grain
I am the bird that sings, I come in dreams to say thousand splendid things
I am the rotten night where as you are a morning, you have to live without me

Faraz Ajmal Poem
In the path of loneliness, he so far was walking patiently
There was no one to see, he was at a stage where his dreams had left him
Another day was passing yet his aim was no where close to be achieved
At night his lips were full of complaint and he realized that its been a mistake
He wished for his mother to complaint, her arms for embrace
And wondered what more he had to bare, should he give up or stand there
To his right was an ocean, where as to his left was a never ending desert,
He there thought about his lost fame, his aim and cursed fate for her nasty games
