Dear Mom

Dear mom,
When I met you, I was dreaming
That I was in a dark alley and that I was hurt.
You cared for me and chased away the pain and many fears I had.

When my pet died you was my rock.
When you were crying you held it in.
When I think back, I remember you were always there and that you loved me.
So now, it is my turn to say I love and miss you,

Love, me

Thank You

To my loving and caring friends Brittany and Samantha

I cant find the words to say
how much I appreciate you.

You treated me like a friend
when I first moved in.

You were there when I needed to
talk and you comforted me when
I was sad.

When I cried you said it was alright
and you lent me your shoulder to cry on.

So after all this all I can say is ...
thank you.

Cold Moonlight

As I stand in the cold, moonless night,
I wonder if I'm safe, then I feel your arms around me holding me tight.

As I stand in the frigid, moonless night
I wonder if I'm loved, then I feel your lips on mine.

We whisper our goodbyes,
kiss each other softly before depating
to go our seperate ways.

My One and Only

Dedicated to my mother, Lisa Misuraca

I had a loved one who
was close to me but
She was taken away like
the wind in the trees.
Every day I sit and wonder
why was she gone, oh why, oh why.
She was my mother and
I loved her as she did me. She
was my life and my light when
I was sad. She helped me and
She was there my one and only.

The Lost and Lonely Girl

sex, drugs, and alcohol
was all she thought she ever needed.

vodka, whiskey, beer,
pot, meth, and coke, was
all she thought that could
keep her in good cheer.

her eyes glazed over as
she stares out her bedroom
window. feeling no pain
as the needle
pricks her skin and
with it the rush of
drugs giving her
the high she needs.

with no feelings of remorse or sorrow
as she watches the blood drip from the
ragged, jagged cuts on her wrists.

she takes one last breath
and slowly closes her eyes saying
silently to herself that
the world is one less of a lost
lonely girl.

Breathless

Sitting here, wishing time could be stopped.
In this room, with white walls holding me prisoner.
Time lasts so long, it seems as if a eternity lies before me.
The walls close in on me and leave me breathless.
I try to shout for help, but no sound escapes my clenched throat.
I know now that escape is not my fate, but only to lie here and wait.

My Love

From the tops of the trees
and to the ocean so deep,
my love for you is beyond
of that any thing can reach.

From the earth to the stars
that shine so bright, my love for
you is brighter than the light.

Without you there would be
no love in my life or
no light in my sky, no
light to bring me home.

The Monster

Her senses were heightened,
she was fully aware of the
endless brusies and sores on
her arms.

Her eyes glaze over
as the monster takes
over her body. The monster
takes control over her mind
and emotions.

Life to her seems much better with the monster.

Crawling across the floor to
the mirror lying on the chair.
Blowing off the precious white
powder and starring into the
face of a girl transformed into
a monster.

She screams and throws
the mirror, breaking it,
and shattering it.

She picks up the silvery
shard and slices deep into
her wrist.

She drops the bloody shard
and lays across the bed
and cries herself to sleep
one last time.
