Breathless

Sitting here, wishing time could be stopped. In this room, with white walls holding me prisoner. Time lasts so long, it seems as if a eternity lies before me. The walls close in on me and leave me breathless. I try to shout for help, but no sound escapes my clenched throat. I know now that escape is not my fate, but only to lie here and wait.
