Unforgettable Moment

Those were my green and salad days,
a time of innocence and play, where
marbles shone like pearls and
every trinket was a treasure.
The world was simple, a canvas of pure joy
school, home, and the familiar corners of my aunt's house
were the boundaries of my kingdom.
I was a prince, carefree and unburdened,
unaware of the complexities that lay beyond.

My father, the silent architect of my happiness,
waged wars against invisible foes,
his struggles hidden behind a veil of stoicism.
I floated through those days,
buoyed by blissful ignorance,
until a stark awakening came.
It was etched into my memory,
a moment as indelible as an inscription on copper
the day he sold his wedding watch to pay for my education.

For the first time,
I felt the sting of tears for another's sacrifice.
It was a profound shift,
a departure from the self-centred orbit of childhood.
Emotions painted the moment in vivid hues,
a portrait of empathy and maturity
emerging from the canvas of my youth.

Hold My Hand

Treading upon a thread so fine,
Finer than the strands of silken twine,
Ah, but we err in our belief,
For hair is but a protein sheaf,
A chain of amino acids, aligned.

Is this vision but a mere mirage?
A fleeting, ghostly apparition?
Why then do they link,
Like carriages of a train, in sync?
Perhaps harmony is the adhesive,
Binding them in a dance so vivid,
Racing along life's fervent passage.

I ponder, perhaps the line we tread,
Is nought but points, closely wed,
In the fabric of togetherness spread.
Come, take my hand, let us forge
A lifeline, a path to endorse,
Disregard the trifles, my Love,
For nature cherishes balance above.

I Am a 8

We come alone, and alone we depart,
This journey compels us to play our part.
Come now, no one stays for eternity's span,
We come alone, and alone we depart.

How can the moon conceal its glow?
He stands first and last, this truth we know.
We come alone, and alone we depart,
This journey compels us to play our part.

You Never Died

O Leader! O Savior! O Heart so Brave!
Words falter to honour the path you've paved.
The nation's core, now fortified with zeal,
We stand to combat, with spirits of steel.

No predator lurks, no harm to dread,
Your flame has scattered the shadows we fled.
Beneath the azure sky, the sun's bright gaze,
We bask in the light of liberated days.

You were the beacon, the guiding flare,
The vessel that carried us through despair.
Your name, a byword for valour's crest,
A voice for the silenced, an ear for the oppressed.

You granted wings to those who'd never flown,
To brave the wastelands, to face the unknown.
In your footsteps, we found our pace,
Learning to rise from the dust with grace.

Yet whispers claim you've departed our side,
The thought alone makes the hopeful tide.
Denial grips me; the news can't be true,
As the masses mourn, their sorrow is in view.

My pen trembles, heavy with unshed tears,
Echoing the solitary cry that sears.
I hold back the flood, let it inwardly weave,
May it nourish the love you've left us to grieve.

You are the whisper in the wind's call,
The strength that rises after a fall.
In the unity of one and all,
O Leader, O Braveheart, you never fall.

Blind's Sight

En route to the cinema's glow,
A blind beggar's fate I came to know.
Into his bowl, twisted and worn,
A coin I cast, its journey born.

His hands, unclean, searched and found,
The coin's worth in a world unsound.
His face, a canvas of life's unjust,
Shone through the grime, a trust.

"Thanks for the bread, master," he spoke,
Words trailing off, a pattern broke.
Since that encounter, I've come to crave,
A vision like his, profoundly brave.

For in his darkness, he sees more clear,
Than eyes that watch, yet never peer.

My Soulmate

My Soulmate

You are my poem, the rhythm of my heart,
Filling life with colours, a prism set apart.

Your eyes glistening, pearls of dewy grace,
Words melodious, a gentle coo to embrace.

The sun rises for the world, you're my aurora bright,
Weaving moments into life with your joyous light.

Roses are lovely, and fragrant in my garden fair,
Yours is the vibrant colour, the sweet scent in the air

Mesmerizing tunes I play on life's flute,
You are my breath, O beauty absolute.

Why You Left

You departed, my Motif, but why did you?
Unfinished, my carpet lies, colors awry.
In the weave of my days, you were the light.
You departed, my Motif, but why did you?
Absent your Taleem, I'm lost in the night,
My heart, your target, where arrows lie.
You departed, my Motif, but why did you?
Unfinished, my carpet lies, colors awry.

Who Am I

Who am I? A seeker, within I set sail,
Beyond the horizon where stories pale.
Golden threads of twilight unravel in my grasp,
A penumbra of half-truths, a breath to clasp.

Waters rise from twin springs of insight,
A call to cleanse, to bathe in light.
An offering to the serene, a passage to cross,
The dagger of repentance, a coin to toss.

They urged me to open my chest, to reveal,
To reawaken the saint, the truth to unseal.
Before the reliquary mirrors, I stood to confess,
Our mirrors lie, but here they address.

Reflections of incarnation, not mere mimicry,
A perplexing phenomenon, a soul's intricacy.
To look within, a task of moments or ages,
A measure of the self, in countless stages.

Dame

Can only smoke remain visible to thee?
I arraign the distance carved out in gashes.
Proximity charred me to ashes,
Left me to burn, yet never felt the flame.
One glare from the dazzling dame,
To burn one's own nest, how absurd!
Blazed my heart, that sunbird.
