A Dearest Repost, Angel Wings

angel wings

With every breath I take my body aches,
When I lie in bed I feel my insides hurting.
With every reminder brings me pain.
No more can I find comfort in my home,
The cries of babies stains my mind.
I'm trying my best,
But of course from day to day hour to hour,
I find myself crying.
Memories that morning come to me every day,
Nurses surrounding me my doctor getting on her knees,
Her head looking down,
The thoughts that ran through my mind.
My life entering a new course,
One full of grieving.
He had my face,
My son, my beautiful angel.
He's watching me now,
He left me in tears but he is in my heart.

A Simple Visit

Trying to get myself together,
I book my dentist appointment.
In the waiting room I sit.
Finally, they call me,
I sit on the all familiar dentist chair.
Looking up, the light shines on my eyes,
Giving my headache advancement,
I close my eyes.
Suddenly they speak of cavities.
“Would you like to get fillings today?” they ask.
Sure, I thought aloud.
They numb my mouth,
Nothing I felt, they asked me one more question.
“Would you like the gas to feel more comfortable?”
“Yes please”, I replied.
Next thing you know I am gazing off,
It leads to my mind wondering, I feel strange.
Images of all my emotions pop up,
They start to seem more real.
I am off into a deep sleep,
Me sitting in a chair carrying my son,
He opened his longing eyes,
My heart felt the joy of this dream.
I was rocking him so peacefully,
My little angel came to me in a deep sleep.
I wake from the drilling of my teeth feeling at peace,
The dentist told me of how peaceful I seemed,
Moreover, of how tired I must have been that I fallen asleep.
No idea they had of how restless I was,
Nor that I am a grieving mother who had just lost a piece of her heart.
I did not expect to had left the dentist feeling happy,
I had a vision a created memory that put me at peace.
Crazy you might think but I look forward to my next dentist appointment.

~My son Bael forever in my heart and if I’m lucky in my dreams he will visit me~

Humor Is My Inspiration

At awe by my mothers beautiful mind,
when it came to writing I always felt so blind.

Literature class advised us to write,
for the first time I did not feel bright.

Sneak a poem of my mothers i did,
boy did I feel like a little kid.

Praise my teacher gave me for such a lovely write,
my mind here and there like a kite.

Lucky me open house was here,
the poem posted on the class wall had me at fear.

Suggesting my parents to skip that class,
trying to avoid the coming sass.

She read it and thought to herself that it was idolized,
her eyes got big as she realized.

Quiet she kept as she knew how embarrassed I was,
of course it gave her a buzz.

It was cause of that day we look back,
and my mom gave me some slack.

She later taught me it's as simple as rhyming,
and with the emotions I have priming.

Plastic Flowers

I just thought as I looked at the table,
to love I am no longer able.
I look at the vase,
take a second look just in case.
It came to me,
our so called love I now see.
Our love may be fake but forever will last,
despite our troublesome past.
Plastic flowers I stare,
not real but who would care.
Our love is as fake as the flowers,
to revive you would need powers.
Yet fake flowers need no tending,
and love you are not sending.
You can just leave them their,
forever they'll last not needing air.

Fog

My spirit is strong, my heart is weak.
The only break I'd get is falling off a ladder.
I smile to ease your heart,
deep down I am without cause.
You are at times my lighthouse,
but often leaving me to drift into the fog.

Moss

Dreams, they are what builds my bridges.
Pure love and togetherness,
That's all I could ever hope for.
He speaks of marriage with contempt,
With excitement and pleasure.
They say once we arrive at a certain age,
Our imagination runs dry.
Oh, how wrong they are!
As for women never outgrow it,
Their men are forever up to something.
I let mine roam free,
Decided to be my own enemy.
With time, that seed grew,
As did my enemy.
I've never once imagined,
It to leave me gasping for air,
Leaving me in an everlasting nightmare.
A conscience needing clarity,
A white picket fence now covered in moss.

Misguided

Do you remember that smile,
My any reason smirk that let you know everything was ok.
I’m tuned in as I always was, only this time
My reception is stronger.
I’m everything I once was against,
I’m lost in the rush.
I was set free,
Carried away I soon became.
I see my friend with more faces than a dice.
A gamble she is.
I’ve grown tired,
Can you imagine being young and worn out?
You never truly know who’s watching,
Paranoia looks out for me.

Wake-Up Call

Real life tragedies,
this world is at it's end.
What more bad news can we get,
another life taken from man made weapons,
or a parents careless mistake?
Nowadays drugs easily reaching the school aged children,
parties ending in shame,
opening the public's eyes.
Being a cautious driver won't save you from,
a text the other driver couldn't ignore,
or the drunk driver that couldn't call a friend.
Courageous some acts of kindness are,
like the teacher that hid her class in silence,
saving their young lives,
the Boston Strong citizens carrying on selfless acts,
or the good Samaritan,
that didn't ignore a child left in the heat while parents shop.
Perhaps there is hope,
we just have to see the positive in a negative,
and come together to create a strong nation.

Of Love

claim your seat,
to your hearts defeat.
of crying cats,
no more combats.
the cleans of fear,
life is but a sneer.
to one in all,
don't take the free fall.

Inner Exeption

This breath I hold,
for a moment to long.
My steps no longer with it's bounce,
as I drag my shoes to the ground.
A ladies cry for help,
at surface she holds it together.
A mind to complex,
far from reality.
The blank stares,
as I dream a better place.
Another site to see,
as yet again a back is turned.
I see the ugly,
and live the negative.
My mind is at a different turn,
as I try and pick up these shards of glass cutting me deeply.
