Imagination

All is possible, when you use your brain, you can think up a scaly dragon, even a hurricane. You can take a trip to the moon, take a ride in the hugest hot air balloon. You can be the world’s strongest superhero, not just a total zero. “I’ll think up a million rand,” “I’ll be a rock star in the biggest band.” “Today I’ll fly up to a cloud,” “I’ll sit where the angels sing aloud.” There are many things to be done, all which are rather fun, use your imagination, “YOU” have the power to have fun. “Tomorrow I’ll fly to Mars,” I’ll buy a million chocolate bars.” “Next week I’ll go to Disney land,” “tonight I’ll win the lotto worth five million rand.” The power of imagination is really really strong, you can use it to do good, yet use it to do wrong, it’s really your decision, not mine, or his, or hers, what you choose to do with your imagination, is up to you, and up to YOU alone!

Sleeps Slave

Sleep, Why is it that you always get the better of us? Why do you always win? Every time I close my eyes, you steal me away, you are always lurking around, ready to pounce on me, when I least expect it. You are like a rude guest, knocking at my door, you don’t wait for me to answer, you just let yourself in. You do as you please, you don’t care about my schedule, you just snatch me, whenever you feel like it. You interrupt me when I’m watching, my favourite program, you cause me to fail, because you take me away, when I’m studying for my test late at night. You rule our lives, others have already submitted to your power, but I will never be your slave, I will never kneel before you, you will NOT win me over. I choose to do something, more profitable with my time, but before I do, let me just rest my eyes for a few seconds…

We All Have Colour

The children gather in a crowd, one by one they scream aloud. I see a girl about my age, standing upon the performing stage. Her face bright but sad, her skin doesn’t seem at all bad, yet the difference in the colour, seems to make everyone mad. I hear the sound of an angry voice, yet we all have colour, we don’t have a choice. The sound of the silly children fades away, like the sound of an echo on its way, and instead I hear what the girl has to say.

The Ultimate War Machine

There I stood, alone, unable to think, mind blank, unable to run, from my fears. The sound of a click, ran through my body. My finger pulled back, on the trigger, that could change my life. Should I? or shouldn’t I? Tears ran down my trembling cheeks, as my hand lifted towards my head. Would the world go on without me? I shut my eyes, as my hand drew nearer. The sound of a “BANG”, filled the air. I was wounded! My life flashed before my eyes, as everything went blank… Misery and pain lead the way. All through a gun. The destroyer of human lives. The Ultimate War Machine.

Do You Love Me

Feeling hot, my mind works faster, my heart is racing, as fast as the wind Can’t think, can’t concentrate, only you in mind. Love, overwhelms me, you are in control of my mind, body and heart. My eyes wonder around, wondering, where you are? what are you doing? your smell fills my nostrils, your hair, swaying from side to side, the sound of your name, makes me quiver and shake. Are you thinking of me? Am I in control of your mind? body and heart? The thought of me not seeing you, drives me insane, when will I see you? are you waiting? for me? or is this just a dream? a fantasy? or just my infatuation? The question remains: Anonymous, Do you love me?

Regret

REGRET

Remembering each day what I shouldn’t of done,
Each memory playing over and over, I so wish I could run,
Go so far away from these thoughts in my mind,
Regretting, regretting, how could I have been so blind?
Everlasting are the results of the actions I wish to undo… I’m so upset!
Tainted forever with the rash of regret.

A Winters Day

Early in the morning, you expect to awake and see, a bright new day dawning, blue skies and green leaves. Instead the clouds are dark grey, and the trees are all bare, no children have come out to play, even the birds have flown away. The window pane is frosted white, and no cars seem to be heard outside, the grass is white and no more green, and the sky is an awful sight. Everyone is snug inside, except for the flowers , as they have died. Just the clouds enjoy the day, as for all of us, inside is where we'll stay

Does My Colour Express My Heart

I dance to express my feelings, I celebrate to express my customs, Do the clothes I wear express who I am? Does my colour express my heart? My soul? We all have different backgrounds, We all have different ways to express who we are. We are all different, and yet all human. Why is there so much pain? Do my beliefs tear us apart? You are my brother, my sister, and yet we suffer. I am black, you are white, who are we to criticize? Inside we are unique, special in God’s eyes. Discrimmination is the lock. Acceptance is the key. We should understand, we should love, we should unite as one.
