The Three

Faith is the foundation, a rock, a bastion, a calling, a commitment,
requiring a leap, trust, surrender, a fearless heart, a willing spirit,
a higher conciousness.

Hope is a sustainer, a bottomless well, a lifting up by spirits wings,
a trusting soul, clouds of doubt pushed aside, a hand reaching out
trusting to be caught.

Love is the greatest, the key to open the first two. Love never fails,
the fruit of the spirit, longsuffering, a fearless domain, not puffed up,
enduring all, a joy to know, never selfish, freely given. A touch of
healing, a song not heard but felt, a spirit moving, a question you need
not ask. A state of peace, a heart unbridled, the answer to all questions,
a perfect truth, a solution for all things.

Help Me Understand

Hello I'm your brother, I can see your pain. Tell me what's the problem, help me
understand. If you're feeling weary, I will bear the load, let me make a difference I
really think I can.

If you're cold and hungry, I will find a way, to help get you what you need. I'm no
super hero, I'm an ordinary man, but I will give my all to keep you from a fall.

If you're sad and lonely, I will be your friend, If you have a problem, I will
understand. Don't be filled with anger, don't give in to hate. That is only darkness,
turning from the light. Fill your heart with love, let it shine so bright, everyone
around you will smile to see the light.

When you are discouraged reach out and take my hand, I will help you through it, I
will be the man. I will not abandon, I'll stand by your side, We can walk together
through the darkest night.

I am far from perfect, there are so many times I fall. Sometimes I need a hero to
help me along the way. Sometimes I need a smile, to brighten up my day.

Chance Encounter

Walking down the avenue working on some things that are
on my mind, starting to wonder if I'm just wasting my
time. Feeling pretty lonely not sure what to do, when I
spotted this lovely Lady just coming into view. She was
different than anyone that I had ever knew. She had an
amber glow from her head down to her toes, I wondered
if there is something wrong with my eyes or was it just my
state of mind. Two blocks away walking straight towards me,
my eyes locked on her like I was mezmerized, As she got closer
my mind was racing thinking what should I do, feeling very shy
hopeing a clue would drop on me form out of the sky.

Now she was only three feet away, georgeous azure eyes
glanced my way, I stood there with my mouth open, couldn't
think of one thing to say. She gave me the brightest smile
that I have ever seen, brightened up the sky and everything that
you could see at least for a mile, such a surreal scene. She
reached out and gently touched my face, then she simply
vanished without a trace. My heart was racing shipping some
beats, then I realized an Angel had just touched me on my
face. I felt better than I've felt for oh so many years. I felt so fine
it blew my mind had no clue of what was on my mind. Whistling
a happy tune I walked on down the avenue wondering
If I'll ever see her again, sure hope I do.

Sunsets and Journeys

Poem about beautiful sunsets and the journey of life.

Spent all day walking on the beautiful powdery white beach. Picking
up oceans treasures, scallop shells calico in colors rich and diverse,
conch, coral, cockel, Sand dollar, sea biscuit, lightning welk, snell shells
of every kind. Ocean breakers emerald crashing and rumbling up onto
the porcelain beach. Wade out let it splash all over me so cooling and
refreshing along with ocean breeze. Splash on the face I lick it off,
exquisitely salty. sand Pipers skiddering along, Pelicans and sea gulls
in the indigo sky catching my eye. Such beautiful things my spirit uplifted.
Sun now kissing the ocean in an explosion of colors. I sit down
to take it all in. Orange, scarlet, green, violet, purple, amber,
gold, emerald, jasper, amathyst, amber, alibaster and every
hue inbetween. A glorious feastfor the eye and mind
to put at ease. Dark now as the golden moon
takes it's Majasties place. What a simply wonderful day.
Giving sigh it's over I could do this forever. Time to go back to my home
in Arkansas. We have beautiful sunsets there as well. Beautiful mountains,
streams, forests, springs, caves, clear lakes await for me to revisit.
The air is clean with a fragrant scent, purple, yellow, orange, lavender,
azure, indigo, cardinal, porcalin, pink and more colors than I can
describe wild flowers frow. Clear blue rivers rush with white roaring
rapids to float, forests of emerald abundant to explore. Mountains
treacherous to scale, Hot springs to sooth and heal both body and
spirit. Diamonds to find, red, champagne, blue, sparkling enchanting
exquisite. Crystals bound in the mines near the healing hot springs,
amythest, garnets, water crystals, rubies and jasper in georgeous
colors crafted into rings, bracelets, pendants, watch bands and so
many more elegant things. I may never get to return to the beloved
beaches again in my life, but I still have all these wonderous things
in My Natural Arkansas. However if I am fortunate enough to return to
the glorious oceans and beaches, I will once again enjoy the treasures,
pleasures, sunsets to behold so bold and vibrant, more wonderful
memories if it comes to pass. one never knows for certain what lays
ahead down lifes path so onward we go and enjoy each blessing
that the Lord has prepared to us to see. Hopefully we will learn on
this journey to love, care for and share with each other.

Harlequin

I put on my finest and set it in my mind, to
win your precious heart. I took great pain and
effort my best to you to impart. Then I came
before you, to laly my treasures at your
feet . I sang to you sweet love songs and
wrote your poetry. I bowed down before you on
bended knee. Alas you paid no notice, and from
my presence you did flee. Now at a distance I
behold you earnestly. Your beauty is so
radiant, your spirit strong and free. I gasp as
I glance at the revelation
I see. Now I've made a vow to myself and
burned it in my mind, to never give up, to
somehow get it right. I'll come to you at day
break, at mid-day there I'll be, I'll come to
you at midnight and sneak into your dreams.
I'll never wain or grow weary of seeking
after thee. Perhaps I'll never win you, this
might surely be, but I'll never give up. I'll
always be the fool in love with thee.

Shadow Life

Blood, sweat, tears, sorrows and my soul spray from
my heart onto the canvas of my life. Pulling me down,
baptizing me in quicksand, suffocating, demoralizing,
draining my energy, disconnecting me from any hopes of
happiness. Years are fleeting, wounds still bleading from
the betrayers, the losses, the injuries, the illness, pain
that I have know.

Lonliness my constant companion sucking the life out of me.
I am too tired to fight anymore, I yield letting the vortex pin
me to the bottom where this journey will come to an end.
My words have no meaning, my mind is empty, I haven't made
a difference, no works, no victories. I am nothing, dust in the
wind, an echo, a song never heard, the canvas is black, no
color, no symmetry, nothing for the eye to see. I am nebulous,
a dream that never was, a truth never spoken, a question
never posed.

Pawns

We the old and broken, have become the pawns
in the grand game of politics. We are as in the game
of chess of the lowest esteem, expendable
if not worse unwanted, a barganing chip.
For three years we haven't even received
a cost of living increasee
while their income they have
increased handsomely.

They have as they so often do broken
their promise to us. Social security was a
promise made by them, that we paid
for when we were able to work,
extracted from every pay check we earned.
Those revenues where to be put in a trust
for us to draw from when the time came
that we had need of them. However our
government for decades have used those
funds as they pleased, for things other than
what they were intended for. Why am I not surprised?
because our so called public servants have
broken countless promises and in the process
lined their pockets from the spoils of their deceptions.
The Bill of Rights and the Constitution
they have shredded and the first casulity
was the truth, now we are the second.
Most of our fatrhers fought and many died to
defend the rights that they have cast into the
the trash heap. Our national debt is now beyond
any hope of us ever repaying, robbing the young of
any hope of a future or even a job, taxes they will have
to pay tremendous to pay for there folly. China Told
President Obama, We're not going to lend you any more,
sure can't say I blame them, probably never pay back what
we already borrowed form them. England is burning because
of the same folly of the politicians, won't be surprised
if the same thing takes place here. People with no hope
and no future what do they expect. They'll go on filling their
pockets with the taxes we all pay, the don't care it's all
well and fine for them. Will give themselves another big
pay increse next year, you just wait and see. Like mother
Hubbard everyone elses cubbard is bare, no bone for
the doggies anymore. They have destroyed everything
Along with, "One nation under God". This once upon a time
good nation has quite literally gone to the "Dogs". The only
Thing that I can say is that I wouldn't have said before,
I'm ashamed of what this nation has became.
