Sanguine Sky

Sanguine blush, outreaching its origin,
Roses bloom across the painting.
The sky extends its insubstantial limb,
Spreading its fingers- in gesture towards you.
A great fan, coral but crimson,
Shifting, yet still- tumbling across eternity.
The horizon appears, in a flash of pink rainbow,
Love, of the universe, of humanity,
Of life, appears… and evaporates; a gradual decline,
of colour; but so sudden too,
And we are left once more,
In solitude.

An Unknown Death

an unknown death

cracked leaves sigh and decay

bones infused in bark

Ice Crystals

Ice crystals plummet

Frozen earth covered in silk

Sunlight smiles weakly

Pretty Massacre

pretty massacre
flee to the ends of the earth
beauty dies with us

Soft Padded Paws

Soft padded paws stalk
Golden eyes glow with knowledge
Fade into darkness

Darkness eternal
Does light exist anymore?
Starving corpses wail

Hungry light feeding
Patterns appear in shadows
Soon the world is whole

A great hole appears
Cycles repeating
Fade and back again

Blood Upon the 'Morrow

What holy crown will twine
around the serpent's head
great slouching shoulders turned
draw back my head and wonder 'pon
the wisdom of the world.

Take my hand between those mountains
bring up to the beginning
mighty cawing
mulberry smiles
it is not enough to prove.

These promises are whispered
through dripping pointed teeth
with blood upon the 'morrow
how can you possibly sleep?

Rapture

Languid eyelids hovering shut,
Vivacious lovers intertwined,
All is well inside this dream; but,
My flushed limbs are listless; you had me unwind,
And now I am awake; aware,
Withal you are not here,
My body, mind, soul; these are all bare,
Without your presence I can not see; nothing is clear.

Caterwaul, scream, rip at my hair,
These are all actions I wish to perform,
But I lay still and envision your face; I do not fall I do not tear.
My emotions are wild; the perfect storm;
Come and save me from myself,
In this hidden world I feel truly alone,
My heart is yours to take; upon the shelf,
Without your presence I am striped to the bone.

If patience is required for us to meet,
Then I will wait until the sands blow away,
The thought of melting in your arms is the greatest treat,
And I shall hope you will catch me when I begin to sway,
Kiss my head upon the brow,
Take my hand in yours,
To you this is my sacred vow,
Forevermore I will be yours.

Once we are together; that first gentle time,
We will not be forced apart; to you my love,
With you I will take that climb.
Never apart, always loving, this is what my dreams are made of.
Believe I will always be that hand upon your shoulder,
To comfort and caress,
Our love will forever smolder,
Forevermore I will say yes.

Flowers of Serenity

Flowers of Serenity
Sasha Edl- Flowers

Dig down deep
Roots ever reaching, entrenched,
Forever,
A touch that is not there,
A whisper,
This promise
Of gold.
Sunshine imminent
Petals unfurled
Everlasting joy of the earth
Veiled.
Each spring, with hope
Without hope, not caring
These thoughts are human,
The sun- the only thought.
Flowers, but not just flowers,
All of the world, in this moment
Revealed.
Life hiding
Waiting for light
Now shown to the sky
Just living,
Nothing more, not less,
Flowers turned from the shadows,
This light and serenity,
Unveiled.

A Kiss

Crimson lips have fled your grasp
I am your one teasing smile
A kiss redder than roses
Caught in your embrace

A Long Time Ago In the Future of Things

A long time ago in the future of things,
Two fish were swimming with feathery wings.
They dove so far down to end up in the sky,
And became so joyous that they just had to cry.
They loved each other so they felt they had to say
Why dear you’re looking incredibly awful today!
They kissed each other while whispering screams,
And while awake saw each other in dreams.
They quietly shouted of their simple love,
And embraced each other with a tender shove!
