Soft Padded Paws

Soft padded paws stalk
Golden eyes glow with knowledge
Fade into darkness

Darkness eternal
Does light exist anymore?
Starving corpses wail

Hungry light feeding
Patterns appear in shadows
Soon the world is whole

A great hole appears
Cycles repeating
Fade and back again
