Two Wings

I have two wide ranging wings
Filled with love and care.
That keeps me cosy in the icy world,
That bears me from falling apart,
That shields me from all the obstacles of life,
Even by wounding themselves.

The wings that help me fly into the blue sky,
The wings that take me to the tower of reality,
The wings that guide me to summit of happiness,
As they clear the mist of despair.

They make me strong to dash through howling winds,
They make me gleam like a star among others,
They make me who I truly am,
For they are my greatest gift from the Almighty-
                                               My parents.

My Rose

I saw a red rose shining in the woods,
It was pretty and radiant.
It caught my sight from miles away,
So tempting that I couldn't turn my eyes away.

I wanted it to grow in the garden of my heart.
The garden filled with light and water of my love.
Where there is happiness and passion.
To be mine for the whole eternity.

His beauty was mesmerizing,
I was enchanted by its sweet and kind perfume.
Blinded from the reality of the world around me,
I stepped towards the red star.
Building a beautiful Eden in my heart.

It was beckoning me towards a magical world.
Walking on the thin fragile ice into the world of coldness.
Finally when I got closer to it, dark and frozen all around.
I saw the hard thorns that stood around it.
But still I urged for the rose to be mine.

Then I touched the rose hoping for life and warmth.
But it stopped shinning and fell off.
Darkness and cold engulfed me.
All that was left were the cruel spikes.
That pricked me till I bled.
Giving me a wound that can never be healed.

Dangerous Master

We are the greatest slaves,
The slaves for our own mind
Of our own puzzled thoughts.
The thoughts that has the power to define you,
The thoughts that can completely destroy you,
The thoughts that can truly strengthen you.

It can turn you into flaming wings of enthusiasm .
It can turn you into an icy statue of insecurity.
It can lead you to the coloured sky of creativity.
It can push you into the darkest pits of darkness.
Just a spark is all that it requires
to turn your world up side down.
This dangerous master who controls
 us within us.

His Love

My Lord, your love is immense and everlasting.
The greatest love I have ever seen.
You were born to be my light,
You lived being my light,
You died to make me a light.
The light that illuminates others.
My sins are the swords that pierced
 through your compassionate heart.
My wrongs are the thorns that penetrated
 through your glorious head.
But still you love me ever more.
