My Rose

I saw a red rose shining in the woods, It was pretty and radiant. It caught my sight from miles away, So tempting that I couldn't turn my eyes away. I wanted it to grow in the garden of my heart. The garden filled with light and water of my love. Where there is happiness and passion. To be mine for the whole eternity. His beauty was mesmerizing, I was enchanted by its sweet and kind perfume. Blinded from the reality of the world around me, I stepped towards the red star. Building a beautiful Eden in my heart. It was beckoning me towards a magical world. Walking on the thin fragile ice into the world of coldness. Finally when I got closer to it, dark and frozen all around. I saw the hard thorns that stood around it. But still I urged for the rose to be mine. Then I touched the rose hoping for life and warmth. But it stopped shinning and fell off. Darkness and cold engulfed me. All that was left were the cruel spikes. That pricked me till I bled. Giving me a wound that can never be healed.
