Glance Keep Glancing

Glance at the child that appears restless

         starving for attention

while his mother has no sense of his direction

glance at his father that's never there

glance at the neighbor that slams his door

         towards abomination

glance at the homeless that stoops to eat

while sliding his cardboard box away from the heat

         glance at the selfish

         hiding their riches

glance at the addict that rob, steal and kill for something that will disappear

glance keep glancing cause it's all real...............

Somebody Is Overlooking Us

Miles....cross rivers oceans and seas
mankind bleeds
our own....caught up
placed in bodybags
" somebody is overlooking us "
tears flooding our streets
screams echoing
 " That's Enough "
" somebody is overlooking us "
Abomination, destruction, poverty
madness leaking into our water streams
Poison attached to our food supply
Addiction scatching at the surface
poverty camped out by our back door
" somebody is overlooking us "
 children hypnotized by deception
 as if they fell hard
 causing concussions
 rude, disrespectful
growing without direction
 forgeting where they came from
" somebody is overlooking us "
 diseases spreading like wildfire
 bathing in the devils creation
making it hard to breathe
 " wake up " society
 before we drown in
rivers, oceans and seas
pulled under by life's destruction
" somebody is overlooking us "

Dusk

Shades of grey
 surfaced
 squeezing between
 the sun's rays
 inviting nights
 twinkling eyes to join in
 it won't be long
 just enough to calm
 a stressful days end
 a glass of wine celebrates
the arrival of shades of grey
 as time watches
 nights twinkling eyes come in
 crickets rejoicing
 with song that
 the suns defeated
 knowing shades of grey
played the middle to an end.......

Mountain Rain

A mist of beauty

       blankets, life's creations

       filling thirst with

       Mountain Rain

       drenched with

       stimulation

       exhaling protection

        their green tops

       spreading seeds

        showered with

        Mountain Rain

        feeling sensations

        to bathe life's creations

in the mist of pure beauty

        called

        Mountain Rain....

My Aging Sofa

Upright with concern

   sinking inward

    conserving it's strength

   many balanced on it's shoulders

relying on it to stand steady and strong

   thousands of stories told

many slept with their hands tucked in it's ceases

leaving memories for it to keep

    some laughed while others cried

in the softness of it's heartbeat

it's a mystery how it stands there

   without defeat......

Summer Ends

Brisk and spring like
a sense of calm dances silently
    with bright and colorful leaves
morning dew shimmers against shadowed Ivy
    it's high noon
    temperature rising
    gasping for air
    won't be long
before birds sail against the wind
    flocking south
I believe firefly, no longer live here
    buzzing bees has disappeared
now that we are at summers end
    during the night
    whistling crickets sings
    while baby chicks
     wrap beneath their mothers wings
    on the nearest farm
    this is falls beginning
    as summer ends....
