Dusk

Shades of grey
 surfaced
 squeezing between
 the sun's rays
 inviting nights
 twinkling eyes to join in
 it won't be long
 just enough to calm
 a stressful days end
 a glass of wine celebrates
the arrival of shades of grey
 as time watches
 nights twinkling eyes come in
 crickets rejoicing
 with song that
 the suns defeated
 knowing shades of grey
played the middle to an end.......
