Love Under a Hidden View

to begin it held a sense of impossible,
a hopeless feeling with bright eyes.
a missing year or two in the air,
a difference both seemingly realized.

A few spoken words gave a new hope,
a flirtatious atmosphere set in.
a hidden glance above a small smile,
a message to change what had been.

in a night, one shall always remember
they danced to a beat of their own souls.
a shared memory upon their lips,
a fairly new hand for theirs' to hold.

to a new feeling in her heart brought on,
a steady rhythm beating on her chest.
a blush against her light pink cheeks,
a sweet poem that her heart suggests.

under a comfy feeling of warmth,
her heart sings a soft new tune.
one to remind her of his light, bright eyes,
a memory to be lost unfairly soon.

a love hidden within shared whispers,
to which they only keep to each other.
a low voice with trembling hands,
a pull so strong to one another.

a wish upon a fast falling star,
to be his one, to hold him close.
a touch of fingers in a darkened room,
a connection of which no one knows.

careful not to make a single sound,
hidden and quiet, they love kindly.
for no care of the wild world around,
their love perches on a sense of beauty.

not all great things stay meant to be,
a tree even begins to wither.
his eyes stay bright near the end,
hers, full of hope, endless wonder.

after a time of unforgiving admiration,
a lovely journey of new adventure.
sadly ends upon her hearts denial,
a last page reads of what they were.

she moves from one place to a new,
a chapter of life awaits to be seen.
his home stays behind her silhouette,
a king watches his lovely, parting queen.

alone under a dim, clouded full moon,
she wishes her love the best.
he sits under the same starry night,
with a feeling all people detest.

an end to a quiet romance of young,
hands held without view of prying eyes.
the love gives a last, lingering stare,
as the two mutter their last goodbyes.

If I Want You To Know

If the stars do not shine at night,
they are not gone.
If the moon does not shine as bright,
there is still a nightly song.

if the trees do not shake in the breeze,
the wind is still there.
If the cold does not make the ground freeze,
the weather still screams in despair.

If the rooster does not crow in the morning,
the sun does still rise.
If the cat without a home dies without warning
we may still hear its longing cries.

If the world does not stop to cater to you,
it's not your only chance.
If the people passing dont have a clue,
save it for later, know in advance.

If your heart is broken, and you see no end,
Just know that happiness awaits.
If you sit, in desperation for one more friend,
Open your eyes for what the world creates.

If you're ever unsure of what you feel,
Its okay not to know.
If the problem itself wants to reveal,
Take it by the hand, let it help you grow.

So Live and Love

I didn't DECIDE to be unsure when he holds me in his arms.
I didnt DECIDE to question it the first time he mumbled "I love you'
I didnt DECIDE to sit on my bed late at night wondering if he actually cared
I didnt DECIDE to be just a bit panicky that he wouldnt show after being 5 minutes late
I didnt DECIDE to be worried that he could stop caring at any. given. moment.
I DID decide to give him a chance because I deserved to be loved and cared for and maybe hes the one to help me through what others did to me.
I DID decide to let him kiss my hand and tell me that he'll kiss it forever.
I DID decide to smile and kiss him and tell him I loved him just as much, maybe more
I DID decide to text him my worries at 1am and answered when he called immediately
I DID forgive him for being late, he couldn't find his keys and he loves me.
I DID decide to accept that he loves me and that yes, he could leave, but even if he did, I'll be alright. And I'm even better by his side right now, so live and love in the moment.

Wonder

I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Shall I go looking, or wait for it to find me.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
To interfere, or sit back and let it be.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
My future sits upon every choice I make.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
My life is not defined by any one mistake.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
The people I'm surrounded with are true.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Do I just relearn things I already knew?
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Life would be different if I had only.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Do I sit here by myself so lonely.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Secrets are to be held only by myself.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
To read the last book on the shelf.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Will I ever actually understand?
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Will I know just by a touch of a hand?
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
If wondering is the same for everyone?
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
If people will still wonder, once curiosity is gone?

My Love Does Not Listen

How can I love someone so much
When he puts such a strain on my heart
I just want the very best for every part of him
So he can see his worth as much as I do
He let's things that ravish him, control his mind
Even when I try my best to steer him another direction
I wish he understood the break of my heart
When he talks to me in a way that is just..not him
Because I know its him, somewhere there
Deep past the destructive behavior he thinks he needs to act upon
My love doesn't know that it's not those things that will help him
He isnt aware that those will only destroy him more
And he wont let me in... he wont let me help
How am I suppose to teach him, if he is not there to listen?

A Question For the World

I juggle one for the world to answer.
To free my mind of endless banter.
Tell me the secret, whisper so softly.
Or a glance, a look, you and me.
No need for repeat, just only once.
And if you ask, will bring my response.
Endless possibilities, tell me just one.
A game, as I sit, an unknowing pawn.
Used and moved, a smart strategy.
Help me understand, help me agree.
For what purpose do we all serve?
And what decided fate will one deserve?
It's just one question, I long for the truth.
An answer for all from elder to youth.
I juggle one for the world to answer.
To free our minds of endless banter.
